Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I don't think any EULA's have held up in court and in any case they are certainly not "the law". It's not like they are going to sue you. Why pay a lawyer to sue your own PAYING customers...
Unless they are SP games only, a no cd crack isn't going to do you much good as you won't...

Those are normal OEM prices...
Different updates you say? Wouldn't any normal oem copy allow you to download updates?
With warezed CD keys Microsoft service packs...
Well it since you may have missed a step lets take it from the top...
Try what MajorDomo suggested first.
Remove everything that isn't needed to install from a cd. Sound card nic etc.. Reset the bios options to default..
1. Ram - Use one stick only. Run memtest86 from a floppy or that...
It's prob your cd drive or the winxp cd or a combo.. a slightly damaged cd trying to be read by a weak cdrom.
I would also use this to test hd and ram (memtest86) http://www.ultimatebootcd.com/
You can also get those tools on floppy disks.
Browse to your C drive then go to tools, folder options then the view tab and select show hidden files and folders. You then can open the boot.ini file with notepad. I'm not using winXP so the directions may be a little different..
edit prob should show you a sample boot.ini
[boot loader]...
