Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
When we were diagnosing we unplug everything so it's not even plugged into a monitor. All we are looking for is the POST beep! Nothing with drivers or anything else this has to be hardware within the case itself. I'm guessing that it's a certain chipset with a certain bios that for whatever...
yes different PCIE ports,
yes power is plugged in,
yes reset the cmos,
PSU is a 500w forget manufacturer its our test PSU that we use around the shop, it powers everything. Again put in an Nvidia card with that PSU and it works. But also we've had it happen to Kingwin PSU's, Corsair, and...
so I work at a retail store and we sell both Nvidia/ ATI cards and so far we've had a few ATI cards just not post in machines. Being either custom machines or Dells, HP's whatever. Put in an Nvidia card and they post just fine
So far it has only been the 4000 and 5000 series, never a high...
I know I'll be the enemy here, but I say good for them. I'm always impressed on how much better virus's are getting.
Also note that I work at a PC store and we charge 140 dollars to remove virus's :)
Its not hard to remove virus's, you're basically paying for bench time.
I know on my Crosshair Mobo I had to disable or change a setting on the audio. Look in your bios and see what you can do, maybe even disabling the onboard audio if you can or change the audio type to digital or something. Pretty sure it was a very easy/basic thing that I changed and then...
can't you take out the HDD and test it yourself with a USB adapter? Also he could always probably just order the MAC OS from apple themselves. Or just buy the snow leopard upgrade for 30 bucks...
Otherwise no I don't know any bootable apps that work with mac.
yes I know that, hints why I said it does support it. The other poster said it doesn't support NTFS which it in a way does as in it reads, but doesn't write.
Just nevermind, delete post.
well actually it can read it, it just can't write to it.
So ok lets say it can recognize the drive just fine, is there not a command or anything for a chkdsk in the mac os?
Hi, I have a drive plugged in USB and I was wondering if mac has a utility like chkdsk that windows has? I know under disk utility it has something, but it usually doesn't work with external drives, or maybe it's just because it's an NTFS drive?
There has to be a terminal command or...
always post:
cpu
motherboard
memory
psu
GPU
Otherwise no one can really say. I know when I bumped up my CPU to a quad core my GPU score also improved. Also I've noticed that benchmark tests aren't always the best to test how well your system is. The games you actually play is a lot...
I had this happen to me once when using Firefox it shakes when you delete the bookmarks from it (pretty rare) see if its only when you're using firefox or when doing something else.
The store I work for carried Palit cards for a few months because my manager went to a gaming event and talked to a head exec from Palit so we gave them a try. We had lots and lots of issues with them and we went right back to EVGA. Palit was terrible.
thanks for all the replies. I've been reading a lot lately.
I made this website just trying things and see how they look. There is actual content on my end of the pc that I have yet to update, but you understand the look.

the websites designed will be used mostly just for simple text. Just simple layouts with nothing really important on them other than a basic easy to read layout and links.
Though I personally would like to learn how shopping carts work and all that stuff. I've used photoshop before to slice...
So I've been asked by a few of my friends to make websites for them and I used to do it a lot in the past, but that was when most people used frames and things were very basic. I want to learn it all again so I'm not sure where to even start anymore.
The programs I have is iWeb(have a mac)...
