*Ended up buying a switch on Amazon*

Seeing if anyone have a 8 port 10gb network switch they want to sell before I head over to Amazon and buy it new there. Let me know what you have and price. Not looking for them big Enterprise switches.

Thanks in advance.

I have an 8-port 2.5GbE Trendnet L2+ switch with 2x10GbE SFP+ connections if that would work for you. PM me if you want details.

I may be interested to hold me off until 10gb switches goes down in price. Unfortunately i have no use for the sfp ports. PMing for more details.

I've seem some 8x 10g where half are rj45 and half are spf+; can be a little less expensive than all rj45, if some of your things are going to be near the switch. dac cables aren't too expensive, so you're still saving money.

Are you looking for multi-gig 10/5/2.5/1/100/10 or is old school 10G without the 5Gb and 2.5Gb support ok? Non-multigig RJ45 is kind of unusual at this point, but they are out there and this is [H] so I'm sure someone around here has one. I don't have anything for you, I just figured it was a question that ought to be asked.

Ideally multigig. I would think the old school one would be huge and loud. I will give it a week or so here before I roll the dice on a asian brand one from Amazon.

Buy a used Brocade 7250 off ebay for cheap....not too loud, but would not be something you put next to your desk...but you would have to buy 10baseT SFP+ adapters that can be pricey...

Needing RJ45 SFP+ adapters tends to wreck the whole deal $ wise, especially if you want multi-gig. Last time I bought a 10Gb multi-gig RJ45 module they were $65 each, and those were MikroTik modules. Good chance they wouldn't even work in a Brocade.
