RTX 2080 Super vs. 3060Ti (OEM)

I'm not so sure about that. My 2080ti runs Elden Ring at max settings at 3440x1440 @ 60fps and it's running cooler than League of Legends does with a FPS cap of 117. I guess the 3060ti could be that much worse than the 2080ti at resolutions higher than 1080p but ER isn't demanding at all.

4k is a a bit more pixels than 3440x1440, I'm not sure how Elden Ring runs I've never played it. But generally, I would say the 3060 ti is oriented toward 1440p rather than 4k (I used to own one exclusively for 1440p).

I can link you to benchmarks that show at 4K which is the resolution we are talking about that Elden ring cannot even average 60 FPS with a 3060 TI.
 
I just tried ER at 1440p with 2.25 DSR (Totals 4k) and played around for 30 minutes or so. Ran 55-60fps at max settings but reducing a handful of settings to high helped it hold 60 fps and didn't look much, if any, different. The ER benchmarks I looked up place the 3060ti down by about 7fps from the 2080ti at 4k so I'm sure it would be fine if he didn't mind lowering a few more settings; especially since his TV has VRR.

Yes I already said earlier in the thread that he would have to reduce settings to get 60 fps.
 
Nope, SLI only worked on the 3090 and is offically dead with the 4000 series, no SLI at all any more.

No that is a blessing based on how things were going even 6 to 7 years ago. You must have been living under a rock to even ask about it being a thing in 2022.

My new Sony A80K has TWO 2.1 ports:

HDM1 3 (eARC) 4K 120Hz
HDMI 4 (non eARC) 4K 120Hz

And two regular (non 2.1) 4K ports:
HDMI 1
HDMI 2

I just fixed the issue, by simply using HDMI 3 (eARC) 4K 120Hz port instead. It simply works, and no more garbled image.

Why 3060Ti refused to work on non-eARC port?
