Warcraft Remastered Battle Chest

Blizzard lost me as a customer back when they went for that sweet mmo money.

I'm good with my original cd's and stratagus.

Apart from that, those remastered graphics for I&II look a bit off to me. Not sure if it is reverse placebo or if the remaster-artists took a few too many liberties with the source material.

Hy, Blizzard has done nothing but disappoint everyone at every turn with minimum-viable-products and quick cash grabs and mobile pandering... but THIS time it's different...
 
After War3 "reforged" that got rid of the original game on bnet effectively, and it sucked overall I think I'll wait this one out for a long time and a deep discount if any.
 
I'm playing through the warcraft 2 campaign right now, it's pretty great. Warcraft 1 is too old to play. I honestly feel like 2 had the smoothest game play of the 3 titles. Checked out the updated verison of 3, it looks ALOT better. Performance is also significantly improved. The Warcraft 1 & 2 ports are basically identical to Starcraft Remastered.
 
The upscaled visuals in Warcraft 2 don't look that great to me. Kind of disappointing, I'd have thought they would put more care into those games. Warcraft 3 enhancements look good however, maybe I'll revisit that one.
 
I want to throw $$$ at this so bad as WC2 was the game that made me buy my first x86 pc but I'm on the fence on if $40 is worth it. If both WC2 and WC3 are decently improved then maybe. I'll continue to sit on the fence until I read more reviews and opinions.

Pretty lame. Also wish they put a bit more effort into these remasters similar to some other games (like the C&C remaster) where you can enable more functionality or keep it as original as you like. Oh well I guess this is better than that phoned in WC3 remaster they did a while back.

Because Diablo II has never been available on GoG :). The Original Diablo + the Hellfire mod is what is available on GoG (for now until they "remaster" Diablo I guess).

It shouldn't be too surprising that Blizzard pulled the originals from GoG. It's just competing with their remastered version. I expect the same to happen to all the Sony games on GoG at some point also.

It's just weird for me. I am really pissed off they are pulling WC1&2, but I am torn about buying it because I feel like buying WC1&2 now just to get a DRM-Free copy of the game is like rewarding Blizzard for bitch slapping me with FOMO to buy it. Other than to try the original WC1&2 out I don't think I even want to play the pre WC3 versions of the game.

You're right about Diablo. I don't know how I got that one confused.
 
The reforged battle chest was on sale this BF, so picked it up. It included the originals and the reforged versions. I've been playing the WCIII reforged campaign, so far so good. Good fun.
 
I just installed it, the definitive graphics definitely feel like the best in terms of the art style matching the engine capability. It's solid, I just don't think I could play this game again.
