They are only offering $375 for my S25 Ultra trade in. $210 for my S23 Ultra. This all for the 256 gb models.

And for good reason. On paper, the Motorola Razr Fold's hardware specs make the Pixel 11 Pro Fold look downright embarrassing:

👉 The Catch: Moto completely dominates on display specs, raw camera hardware, battery size, charging speeds, and base storage value, but its durability specs could easily be a dealbreaker.
Foldable screen repairs are notoriously expensive, and a lower Mohs level 4 rating on Moto's inner screen means it will scratch under much lighter pressure compared to the Pixel's Mohs level 5 - even from a stray fingernail or a grain of grit. Combined with weaker dust and water protection (IP48 vs the Pixel's IP68), that complex hinge is far more vulnerable to pocket lint and sand over time.

Yea I have been doing a bit more research and pretty much between the pixel and Samsung. I really dont need this as I have a S25 Ultea atm...

Makes sense. Coming from an S25 Ultra, jumping to any current foldable is going to feel like a downgrade in cameras and battery durability anyway. Hard to justify unless you really want the tablet form factor.
 
It's so insane after all the low-effort iterations of the Pixel since the 6 and Tensor's introduction, this is the lowest effort of them all.

Anyone buying these phones for anymore more than free with carrier/Google promos is insane when you compare these phones to absolutely any of the competition out there. The software experience just isn't that different these days to justify it anymore IMO, and I love a lot of the Pixel features like Now Playing and some of the Gemini integration (which you can still get a lot of on other phones). But these phones have become the lowest-value offering in the west IMO, with the absolute least efficient and powerful SoCs on the market that prevent the phone from charging at its advertised speeds most of the time.

The camera features are appealing. I'd wait for reviews, but it sounds like Google got the message and improved not just the sensors but the speed (nighttime shots in particular).

Wkth that said: this is definitely a last-of-its-generation release that will mainly appeal if you clearly need to upgrade or snag a good deal from your carrier. In a sense, I'm happy that the Tensor G6 is a 3nm chip as it suggests the G7 will unlock some potential even if Google doesn't change much else.
 
Regarding forthcoming reviews, this video dropped today that addresses what both of you brought up. He describes what he sees as really going on.

T4rd: Spot on about the value proposition. He confirms it’s essentially a hardware freeze with a 12GB RAM cut on base models, a smaller battery on the Fold, and sneaky trade-in math that hides price hikes. He even makes the case that buyers are basically "renting" early AI access on lesser hardware before it hits other Android devices.

Aurelius: You called it on the cameras and generational shift. The video confirms the main sensor upgrade gives a 30% low-light boost, but says this is very much a "skip" year for current owners.

The only reason I like the Pixel phones is that you can install GrapheneOS on them and not have to use Google's OS that spies on you constantly with their AI and other data scraping methods built in. I don't like how they are trying to charge you to use their AI on their phones, as it's just more anti-consumer junk. Everything you said I agree with though.

Isn't Google cracking down on people using GrapheneOS on a Pixel? I thought they were going to change some stuff in the bootloader or what not to almost make it impossible to do that?

Or GrapheneOS themselves not continuing?
 
I got mine pre order Pixel 11 pro Xl. Verizon deal for 5.55 a month 36 month. so for around 300$ i got one.
Should be a great upgrade from my pixel 8 which is loosing its usb c port.
I think usb headphones killed it.
All the talk of ram drop in 11 isnt going to effect me, the pixel 8 has 8 gig system ram.
I just want a bigger phone, like the old Pixel 2 XL days.

I bet you'll be pleased. We criticize the Pixel -- and most of it's warranted -- but I still buy it. I've tried other brands and always come back to the Pixel.
 
The better camera in zoom and low light performance is a killer feature for me - if confirmed by reviewers. And I really like the new Olive color. I just need a better offer from Google Fi.
 
sigh I just put in an order for the pro XL with 512gb storage and 16gb of ram. My new job moonlighting as a delivery driver is really taking a toll on 9 pro. Main reason I wanted the XL was to get the faster 25 watt charging. I leave my phone screen on now for like 5 mins before turning off so it's killing my battery
 
My 11PXL should be delivered tomorrow. Got a Dbrand Tank case for it today. I usually get the Dbrand Grip, but it doesn't have much protection for the camera. Will post pics.
 
My Pixel 11 XL came in today. Haven't really set it up yet, but I am glad I went with the green option. A nice change of pace from the black/gray color I have always chosen and its even nicer looking in person.
 
From what I've read and seen so far, last year's maxim holds true: get the base Pixel 11 unless you know you'll want the Pro models' features. You get the core experience while spending considerably less. I'm not in the market right now, but if I were I might skip the Pro just to get the most value.

Eh I came to my senses and just going to keep the S25 Ultra. A fold phones is pretty much a down grade in everything but screen.
 
Last year I bought the pixel 10 Pro non XL cuz I thought I wanted a smaller phone. I've always had the XL version

I didn't even last a week with it. I had to go back and get the Pixel 10 Pro XL.
 
That obsidian color this year looks sick. Matte black and the sides / frame are matte finish too 😎
 
Only Apply makes a big deal about their phone colors. It is just a bullet point for everyone else.
