I've had this before (and regretably sold it). The CPU performs just slightly below an overclocked i5-13600K using quite a bit less power. It has the best cooling I've seen in a mini-pc that uses a H 255 or 8745H. A budget graphics card like a RTX 3070 loses just 2.5% performance with OCuLink than over PCIe 4.0 x8. It also has a 780M iGPU, which can play any 2D game, Minecraft, Roblox, etc. at 1080P.

I also recommend pairing this with this eGPU using OCuLink ($54.98), and this cheap PSU ($41.99). Just find a deal on a graphics card like a RTX 3070 or RX 9070 16GB, and you're set.

I've been wanting to play with a mini PC / Oculink setup for a while, but I don't really have a place to use it.

I got one of these anyway since it really is a smoking deal for a complete mini PC. I already have a spare video card and power supply, so I'll probably talk myself into the Oculink to PCIe 16x adapter later today.

It makes for a good HTPC, or a decent portable PC. I hook it up to my inverter in the car with a portable monitor, and the kids can play Steam or Xbox games while we're driving on a road trip using controllers. Then in the hotel room, I can hook it up to the HDTV for streaming. The only negative is the lack of HDR with the 780M iGPU. I have the MS-A1 with a 8700G for my son's PC, and if he needs to play a game that needs more oomph, I use the OCuLink eGPU with an RTX 3070Tim. I also use it as a test bench to test NVMe drives and graphics cards. My wife uses a 6800H with 32GB LPDDR5 6400Mhz, and that's overpowered for what she uses it for. If it goes down or she needs an upgrade, I just place her NVMe drives to a new Mini-PC, and I'm done. I'm planning on eventually replacing my parent-in-laws computers with a mini-PC when their desktop builds go down. They have a 5600 and a 3900X ATX build. No more having to lug mid-tower cases around. You can use it as an Server NAS with the USB4 port to external drives. Endless uses for these things.

For the eGPU and PSU, I just zip-tied them together. I should really replace them with longer zip-ties. I was also going to make myself an eGPU box using a cable management box, or just 3D print something.

I ended up getting the AOOSTAR AG03 with an 800W power supply because if I'm going to tinker, I might as well have Oculink and TB4/5 to compare to my old Razer TB3 enclosure.
