So back in the day there was one company that used the IBM branded 486slc2 by Cyrix to make it even work with a 286. :D This was the final upgrade to our IBM PS/2 30-286 before we stopped really using it. But it finally was able to run windows 3.1 in enhanced mode.
 
Oh man I built so many SLC and DLC based PC's back in the low 90's. They were cheap and they worked.... just couldn't play games for shit bc the FPU on these things were braindead. But if you just wanted basic windows 3.1 or other rudimentary DOS stuff, they sorta worked. Playing X-Wing or DOOM on a SLC-33 was a slideshow. These "DX2" ones were not much better. They did OK in benchmarks but try to play a game that needed FPU and.... you were in for a bad time.
