Weird title, I know. Long story... I recently bought a second hand 24TB drive for my NAS and to do some migrations with, but it seems to have trouble staying connected to the SATA bus especially during long copies. To top it off when I put it in, my NAS thought it would be a good idea to automatically try to "upgrade" the existing RAID1 volume to RAID5 which has thus left my NAS in a degraded (but working) state. Given I can't trust the 24TB drive to do the job, I'm looking for one of the following:
Shipping would be to 05476. Thanks!
- Specifically a single 14TB Seagate Exos (I believe X16) to complete the RAID5 upgrade
- A pair of 4TB drives OR a single 8TB or larger drive which should give me enough space to back up the data on the existing drives and rebuild the existing 14TB array back as RAID1
Shipping would be to 05476. Thanks!
