I bought a VooDoo card 3 even though I missed the original launch I wanted one it's a French Canadian version with a good looking box. How much is it worth?

I don't think nVidia would have done so good without the 3dfx technological intellect.
*wipes off dust from Voodoo Banshee then puts it back into the box*
From times to times I still go back to my P1(200 mhz, 96 ram), for some good old Nfs2 and Quake 2 Chaos, damn those were the days. Don't forget SLI Voodoos>anything !1
Since this god tier necro deserves some fresh content, it seems that at least 2 senior engineers/ architects from the 3dfx days are still with Nvidia, lending credence to the theory that there is long term 3dfx dna in modern GPUs:

William Newhall
Former GPU architect at 3dfx (1997–2000), 25 years at NVIDIA as a GPU architect, working on texture units, performance modeling, and PS3 SDK contributions. His profile still shows employment at NVIDIA

Mark WoodPatrick
Former Principal Engineer at 3dfx (1996–2000), later joined NVIDIA in 2001 andthere for over 24 years, serving as Principal Architect, indicating he is currently at NVIDIA.

As a 3dfx enjoyer - thanks Mark and William!

If true, that would make them primary architects of our current GPU world. Crazy stuff.

3dfx lives on vicariously through Nvidia.
