I don't know if the canada version of amazon gets amazon haul but yesterday was bonkers with 50% off most things on haul until it reached a certain sale limit and they ended it

yup looks like you get it too but only 40% off

note the extra 10% off when you buy $100 at a time and that's $100 list price so it's easy to reach

don't stop adding stuff until it triggers the 10% extra

https://www.amazon.ca/haul/store

looks like canada does not get the food deals we had on all kinds of expensive stuff

the funny thing is we don't really need CCC anymore though they have nice visual

you can just ask amazon's "ai" rufus what was the lowest price and it will show you

but both can be wrong because there can be invisible promotions that you do not see in the price

I'd never heard of CCC before today.
Ya, I use it anytime Amazon has apparent "sales" and for me, not tried Amazons Rufus, guess my tin foil hat doesnt trust the company trying to sell things, even though Amazon doesn't really care either way as they get their % from any sale anyways.

NAC is great stuff. I swear by it for faster healing and recovery from strenuous exercise and such.

This is what I take and it's been great. Prices on this type of stuff have been fluctuating a ton and this is a pretty good deal.

If anyone is into fountain pens and use bottled ink, Monteverde inks and Private Reserve inks have some really good deals going on. I grabbed a 90 ml bottle of Monteverde Copper Noir for $13 which is practically a steal for a decent ink of that capacity. I might also grab a 60ml bottle of Private Reserve Spearmint for $7.65 which is another great deal.

Got the Eero Max 7 router. Price is down from $600 to $420. Still ain't cheap, but it'll satisfy my wifi needs for the next 5+ years.

don't have to use rufus, everything i've looked at has a little link to price history, just a chart.

I bought some Edifier MR3 speakers. $150 down to $100, seems like the actual selling price was $150, so no BS there.

Will be a nice replacement for my single $4 USB speaker :D

Those MR3s have been discounted to $100 consistently since they came out, it's a solid option at the $100 pricepoint for brand new white / black.

I had a set that I used for a bit then moved on to try something else. No complaints especially if you're not a snobby music producer lol.

Getorli Ryzen 7 H 255 (RADEON 780m iGPU), 16GB DDR5 5600MHz SO-DIMM (single stick), 1TB NVMe (PCIe4x4), two 2.5Gbps ethernet ports, a USB4 port, and an OCuLink port. I tested these, and these are great units, good cooling (but still replace the original TIM). The only thing to upgrade is the WiFi adapter that it comes with, setup an OCuLink eGPU with it, and you're off to the races.

$424.99

HyperX Cloud II Gaming Headset - 7.1 for $35.60.

I don't need it but I bought one as a back-up for my two children who use Cloud 2s for their gaming PC and laptop. I currently use a Cloud 3 that replaced my old Kingston made Cloud 2. I love the simplicity of the Cloud 2 but the Cloud 3 does let me hear footsteps in FPS games like BF6 much more.

EDIT: There is a ton of discounts on various HyperX gear right now too.

Camel pointed that out, I got them mixed up with some other model I was looking at. Amazon does say 90 day price low... I have no idea how they can get away with that when it's obviously a lie.

I wanted a pocket notebook that won't be destroyed in a couple of days and this was delivered today:

Wanderings Pocket Notebook $17.56

Fits well in the back pocket and will probably get an insert eventually which has pockets for holding cards and pictures and stuff. Wouldn't have minded the A6 version but it wasn't on sale and I don't think it would fit in a back pocket as easily due to being slightly wider.

why don't they make mice with side buttons on both the left and right side anymore?...now all the buttons seem to be on the left side...I guess I will keep my current mouse forever

The Logitech Gpro has buttons on both sides

If the mouse is advertised as ambidextrous, then you have a good argument. Shop for those if you expect them on both sides.

But not all mice are ambidextrous. I prefer a right-handed mouse and I want my buttons on the left where my thumb is.

Some brands make left-handed mice with the buttons on the right. I know Razer does.

I'm right handed as well but I've gotten used to having buttons on both the left and right side...yes for thumb presses the left side buttons are easier but I've learned to like using them from both sides

I've never used a mouse with buttons on the left side and I doubt I could even use them with the way I hold a mouse.

But I can understand the pain. Except for being slightly smaller than the G700s, the Logitech G604 was my perfect mouse and I have to hope it never dies because they don't make it anymore and no one makes anything similar. I need the six thumb buttons and the only thing which comes close is an MMO mouse which is vastly different in execution and not what I want/need. Not to mention I've gotten so used to the infinite scroll thing Logitech has and I'm not sure any other mouse company does that or even can due to patents.

Razer has "infinite scroll" on the Basilisk mouse. It's not "SmartShift" (aka automatic) like Logitech's newer mice, but behaves more like your G604 requiring a button click to toggle free wheel on/off.

None of that old stuff matters anymore unless you like the tactile feel. I'm using a DeathAdder V4 which has an optical wheel; so zero-jitter. It also won't wear out.

Unless something changed, the cord dragging sound was a deal breaker for me. My original Cloud is nice. Most new wired gaming headsets have cable horrible noise every time you shift position. Not sure why new cables are louder, it is just too much noise when you make a small body movement to hear that awful dragging sound. But it is $35, which usually is garbage territory.
