Wrapped up Dying Light: The Following (finally) over the previous weekend. Finally decided to buckle down and do it... as I had started it a long time ago.... and never finished it.
Didn't care for this one too much... over the OG, Dying Light. The non-linear way of the DLC and the story didn't really create a connection/bond with.

More Expedition 33. I wasn't sure what to make of it initially (and I still think the plot is wack), but I find the gameplay to be super compelling. When I can't beat something, I can see why and that innately makes me want to keep going.

Just kinda flipping through different games to see which one 'hooks' me.

Started Star Ocean First Departure - it's alright, combat is a bit loose, but I'm still in the early hours. I like the idea of it. Playing on Switch 2.

Yakuza: Infinite Wealth; Just started it and it's pretty funny. I really enjoyed the first game, but not sure if I could ever replay it as this sequel really improved the combat (you can move around, grab items, knock enemies into each other, etc). Still trying to decide which platform I want to play this on (have it for PC/Steam and PS5) - this is the type of game where I like to put the console to sleep and resume on a dime (there's a lot of cutscenes). Figured the PS5 would make the most sense, however, I've been using my Win 11 desktop with Xbox mode enabled and sleep has been flawless. When I was running Bazzite, I'd typically get image issues or the system wouldn't resume - so far I haven't encountered any issues with sleep on my PC.

Another replay of Horizon: Forbidden West.
When it works lol, The Division 2, another season is soon to be released. Continuing my 3rd playthrough of Ghost Recon:Wildlands.

Played a bit more Soul Reaver. Figured out the spot I was stuck at. I missed a tip that pops up telling you how to flip blocks, then I guess I never tried again. Beat the first boss, and stopped soon after.

Horizon: Forbidden West NG+

Collecting the components needed to upgrade the NG+ weapons and armor. It is a choir but it'll be worth the effort to reduce bot takedown times.

Finishing up Expedition 33. At least the portion I feel like continuing to play. I'm not gonna bother with those optional endgame bosses that require you to perfect parry for 15 straight minutes or lean on exploits, so I'm not doing all that.

That's what gameshark/actionreplay is for...oh.

played some pga, some ff7 remake, and tried to play horizon6 but im down to all the crap i dont want to do, i need ~30K H points to get the gold band. i think my game pass renewed so ive got another month to see if ill bother....

Dying Light 2. One of those games I kept meaning to go back to. I'm only a few hours in, but I like it thus far. At least minus jump being mapped to the RB button vs. the A button like literally every other game, ever. Whoever made that call and whoever decided that you shouldn't be able to remap it should be shot.

Despite there not being a lot of guns in the game (they were added in an update, originally none) I'm not sure if that is a game I'd play a gamepad on.

I play with a pad on pretty much everything short of something like Unreal Tournament or Quake 3. At this point, I'm about as good as you can get with one...unless a game suddenly remaps things with like 20+ years of muscle memory associated.

Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlines 2 since it's been patched up/improved and is on a big sale.
Bounced hard off of Humanitz. That game is a mess even though its in 1.0. The YouTube hypsters doing all these videos on the game fooled me into thinking its in good shape when its not.

Yakuza: Infinite Wealth is still eating up most of my game time - really impressed by the combat in this game. I'd be on board if they made a new Phantasy Star and used Yakuza's combat for it. If I had one complaint about the game is that I wish they brought back an updated version of Ichibad Holdings (imo, the best minigame from Like a Dragon).

Also, just seeing that a bunch of my Steam wishlisted games are on sale - looks like the Summer Steam Sale has started.
