Hello.

Im very interested in this monitor on sale now for 600 euros, wanted to check with you guys if there is anything better than this for around the same price?

I mainly play shooters so the 360hz would be nice.

I would be fine with 240hz also but most of them are like only 100 euros cheaper, so doesnt seem worth it.

Im going from a very old Zowie 240hz TN panel so probably most of the OLEDs will blow my mind.

I mean, Dell (Alienware) tends to make good monitors so it is probably a good choice. Their warranty service is usually reasonable as well, which is more than can be said for some vendors. I'm also an ASUS fan for monitors they tend to do a good job with construction and calibration, their equivalent monitors is the XG27AQDNG (should use the same panel) but in the US at least it is the same price so unless you like the look or minor features of one better than the other there's no real reason to prefer the ASUS.

To get any cheaper I imagine you'd need to go with an LCD, which is certainly an option, but OLEDs are a good choice for gaming so long as you are ok with the (probably minor) burn-in risk.

240/360 are basically the same panel, so outside of refresh rate you're getting the same color saturation/brightness/etc. If you think that refresh rate is worth the extra 100 euros go for it. That said a lot of monitor manufacturers do use very similar codes for their monitor, I know there's are a couple Alienware QD-OLED out there so unsure about that particular version you're listing.

As for the actual topic, anything better at that price? European prices are different than US prices, so there may be some regional variation, but probably not anything better in that price range. But to be honest all the ones on sale now in this price range are basically the same monitor made by different companies, so different interface, tiny features, etc, but they all more or less perform the same. (QD-OLEDs that is, but the same could be said for LG's WOLED panels too)

So i received it yesterday, and honestly i love it.
Gonna keep testing it for a few days, but i probably keep it.
360hz is gonna suit me well also since 90 procent of the games i play is competitive shooters.
The only other one in the same price range i would consider is the XG27AQWMG 280hz, but ive heard getting a good panel is basically a lottery (grey banding).

One question
Should i turn HDR off for games that doenst have native HDR like Apex, CS2, Warzone or BF6? It looks great in SDR already but ive seen ppl having HDR on for all their games.

HDR does use more bandwidth than SDR, so technically it would have more overhead on the refresh rate. I'm not sure it makes much of a difference though if you're using DP1.4 though.
