If its $15 or so, its tempting to get clan mechs instead of buying the MW Clan game.

I'm really hoping the main story arc ends in this game with our merc crew getting wiped out doing something good in the lore. Would be fitting end for mech 5 mercs. Raselhauge is not a good place for inner sphere MechWarriors to be during clan invasion.

I picked this up this weekend with the 60% off Steam sale.

The reviews on the DLCs seem to be very mixed. I also get annoyed when they consider "good gameplay" to be your 4 Mechs fight 20. This seemed to be referenced in several reviews. The Harebrained Studios version had that same issue.

Edit: Reading the whole thread, looks like my lazy self will be adding mods to remove drop limits and increase salvage, and maybe add some money.

Too old to grind unless I really, really love the game.

60% sale seems less likely I can go wrong, though I see how they did the DLC spam which is so popular these days.

Started in last night. First cut scene was impressive. Like the storytelling for sandbox game.

Started a new playthough a few days ago specifically for Shadow of Kerensky: despite a few amusing bugs (Clan weapons being awarded as prizes from Arena rank-ups, Rifles being burst-fire only, and others), it's a lot of fun, and I'm definitely looking forward to the Clans giving my crew a rude awakening in 3050 (right now, I'm in 3022).
As usual, doing arenas while repairing your battered Mechs/getting new Mechs on the "industrialized" worlds is a great way to replenish your coffers while awaiting repairs.
And the new "hero" system of upgrading your hired Mechwarriors is something that many Mechwarrior fans have long wanted (those that don't play with mods).
From checking out various forums, I need to build up C-bills for the inevitably massive repair bill when the Clans first slap my team silly.
