007 First Light - Official Bond game from IO Interactive

These guys also did Kane & Lynch. Best to keep your expectations low.

This game is already looking to be a mixed bag of sorts. The combat is a bit over the top even for Bond, but I did like what I saw with the stealth parts.
Kane and Lynch was the Best PS3 series. It was blurry on my CRT TV though Dog Days was.

Army of Two? Resistance?

I can think of a lot more PS3 games more deserving of that title.

I just like the Humor in Dog Days very few games try to be funny yet serious at the same time. I still have the 1st game I hardly played it from Gamestop.

Not saying either were bad games, but they always sat in the pile of mediocrity with me. I did play it with a friend, which made it far more enjoyable.

IOI will always be known for their beloved Hitman games.

After that gameplay trailer, First Light is now wish listed for me. However, I will certainly be waiting well after the reviews pour in.

How much cut down is this game? 5 missions and rest is DLC?
I completely rambo-ed the last game. Got it for like 5 or 10$ for the full episodic nonsense pack. Will need to wait for this one as well.

Does that even mean anything anymore? Do they really press a gold master anymore, or is the source code just locked in and compiled?

I don't think so. It's probably just marketing speak for the game is in a releasable state at this point. And since it's marketing speak you don't know if they're even telling the truth. It could just mean they want you to think they'll release it on time.

it's just marketing signaling that the game is locked and loaded and will release on time...but as with most AAA games nowadays it will probably be buggy at launch at require at least 3 months of patches...you also have to wait a few months to get the path tracing patch

Uh oh, the toxic positivity that has sunk so many other games recently.

Hot take: Everything or Nothing was the best Bond game, not Goldeneye 007.

If you preorder you can get 24hr early access. That is taking that big risk 007 so I think you can play on the 25th Monday next week.

I’m not preordering simply because it seems like they are releasing a product that needs more polish time given that a lot of the new technical features won’t be ready at launch.

I think it could be really good, but even in that trailer I get the sense of some lack of polish and jank. Something about the driving portions in particular just looked off and choppy. It’ll likely be a really good game 6 months from now, but I suspect this thing will be a technical nightmare at launch.

I think this game is out tomorrow but I'm hardly excited. It looks just like Hit-and-run with more polish plus the level design I think is started at the Menu like Hitman not a Sandbox game. Staged missions

Just two days ago Lego Batman was cracked day 1. All Denuvo games can be played with a Hypervisor bypass but that would require disabling a lot of Windows security, and I would hope most people don't do that just to play some games. But Lego Batman was properly cracked, day 1. Safe to say this can be cracked shortly after. There is a new cracker who can crack all iterations of Denuvo. They did Mafia the Old Country on the same day as well.

I hope this means developers abandon Denuvo, but I think it will just mean more constant online games and a further push for subscriptions. If it comes down to that I hope gamers simply don't buy constant online games.

Games released on console are released on disc along with digital. They do day 1 patches, but there should be a complete and playable game on the disc on PS 5 and most likely on Xbox as well. It doesn't mean much for PC where you rarely get a disc on physical copy, but for console it still means something.

Only way I'll pick this up if reviews are like 95% in the Positve regarding game play and not Denuvo related. Have 5 days off after memorial.

Getting across the board pretty incredible reviews, and performance looks good at launch as well, I’m changing my mind on preorder.

Popped the GMG deal. Going for it. I know it won't light the world on fire but I will have fun with it. IO has earned the benefit of the doubt from me as a Hitman fan. I need a new game to play lol.

Most early reviews from faux game journalists are propaganda. Why jump the gun w/o waiting for the initial user reviews?

Really hard to trust user reviews anymore. So many have an agenda and review bomb a game.

Yeah you definitely need to look at the reviewers reasoning instead of just the score.

I usually don't even look at reviews though. If a trailer grabs my attention I can usually tell if I'll like a game by watching 10 minutes of gameplay if not by the gameplay in the trailer itself.

If I do buy a single player game I just play it and enjoy it. Looking at reviews and what other people say is usually a bad idea if you already bought it.
