[DEAD] HOT $629 GIGABYTE Radeon RX 9070 XT Gaming OC

If you want a great graphics card this year, buy. Crazy good deal.

FYI these are the cards that had thermal gel leakage issues. Hopefully these are the new ones without the excess that Gigabyte admitted existed on the early ones.

Good point but at this point it is VERY unlikely - this was fixed in early 2025 so there's an almost zero chance Amazon of all places still has them. I just picked up a Gaming OC card on Friday from Micro Center and it was a 2026 build (you can tell from the serial number).

They're probably RMA'd cards that fixed the thermal gel leak, which is why the sale price, lol.

I may have snagged one too this morning lol

The sale was just starting when I saw it this morning and I meant to make a thread but I got too busy at work.

Congrats! Its a great 9070 XT. I wanted one in the early days but could never snag one.

The thermal gel thing was only on the first month or two of cards after launch but it made a lot of news that just wouldn't go away. They fixed it and it's one of the better cooling cards with a good vapor chamber. I took mine apart that I got April last year just in case to see if it was the gel but it was unnecessary it had a really nice thermal material install on it. Since I had it apart I redid the RAM and GPU anyway with quality putty and Honeywell pad and only saw a couple degree improvement on the RAM overall and nothing measurable on the GPU.

I got mine last night, has about the same coil whine as my ASRock model. This one is a 3x8 instead of 2x8 and seems a bit faster.
