Which consoles do you, or did you own?

Which of the above gaming consoles did you own previously, or currently own?

As for me, I still own #5, #7, #8, and #10. All are still currently working hooked up to my Sony Wega in a spare bedroom. Owned #4 back in the day but it's long gone.

My first was the Coleco Telestar. The small plastic tab that held the cartridge tight against the contacts broke since the spring underneath was so strong. Common issue apparently. So had to balance a 10 pound weight on top.

Wondered that myself.

Once I tried KB&M control and FPS games on PC that was it for me. Though it is nice to play the old consoles for nostalgia once in a while. Friends seem to enjoy it too.

N64, PS2, Gameboy Pocket, Gameboy Color, Gameboy Advanced, 3DS, Switch. Brefly had an Xbox 360, played Ace Combat 6 and maybe one other thing on it.

Playstation: 2 (phat), 3 (slide top), 4 (orig), 5 (orig), psp, and vita (og).
Nintendo: nes, wii, switch, ds lite, dsi, 3ds (all 1st gen mobile), gba
And have not owned, but family had sega genesis, atari/commodore64, xbox og, and psx/psone.
Don't have my dsi anymore, traded for 3ds. And purchase a refurb ds lite recently, as well as have a broken one from family that I'm modding. Psp is from my brother. Also have a gamegear from a friend, but dunno where it is right now.

Edit: forgor wii and switch

Still have all of them except 2, 3, 5, and 19. 19 pisses me off because apparently my parents lost track of it when I was moving out. 11 no longer works (RROD), 12 no longer works (YLOD), 7 and 6 no longer work (never figured out why), 8 stopped reading discs hence number 14.

Atari 2600 Jr., NES, Atari 7800, SNES, Genesis (it was given to me but I never owned any games for it or even used it), N64, GameCube, Wii, Wii U (say it quickly and repeatedly in a high pitched voice and it’ll sound like a siren), Switch, Switch 2.

Someone else mentioned the C64, and while I don’t consider it a console, I only used it for games… there was also the C64GS, which I’ve never seen, and that was technically a console, I guess.

For handhelds, I currently have or have owned the Game Boy, Game Boy Advance, Game Boy Advance SP, DS Lite, DSi, DSi XL, 3DS, 3DS XL, New 3DS, New 3DS XL, 2DS XL.

I had everything but 1, 3 and 17. I also didn't have a Master system, a Saturn, 3DO, CD-I and Jaguar.

Master, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10 and 14.

Still have n64 with Mario kart, wcw revenge. PS2 has been in its box collecting dust >15 years. Wii with all the roms in upstairs bonus room.

The first "new" console I got was a Sega Genesis in 1997 with the Vectorman 2 bundle.

I bought the Dreamcast, Xbox, and Xbox 360 at their launches.

I bought an Xbox One for the Halo Master Chief Collection and regret it.

Was always more a PC kid, and we weren't quite middle class, so it was few an far between in the early days.

As a kid:
Nintendo, Super Nintendo, Gameboy. Once I was old enough to get a job, I bought a Playstation (edit, not the PS2).

As an adult:
Playstation 3, Playstation 4, Nintendo Wii, Nintendo 2DS Lite, Nintendo 3DS, Xbox One, Xbox Series S.

I don't expect to ever get another console, as my kids are older now, and they mainly use computers. But, we'll see.

Atari 2600. NES. Sega Master System. Sony PlayStation. Started building PCs after that.

Kids have a Wii and Wii U still in use. They got these used long after they were discontinued.

Nintendo Game Boy
SEGA Mega Drive
Sony PlayStation
Microsoft Xbox
Microsoft Xbox 360
Sony PlayStation 4 Pro

I'm happily console free over 3 years now.
Had:
  • PS2 Slim (times 2, sold it, then bought another one a year later to play a different game)
  • PS3 Slim 320GB
  • PS4 PRO 1 TB (sold it for more than I paid for it new 4 years earlier - thank you inflation)

I owned every major system from the NES through the Dreamcast with the exception of the 3DO and Neo Geo. I even had the Jaguar and Lynx. The Dreamcast was my breaking point with Sega's bullshit. They were obsessed with cranking new systems out and not supporting them. Not long after that we saw console gaming and PC gaming converge, too. They actually started getting the same games and they actually worked the same, too.
I was late to PC gaming. I didn't hop on that train until late in the 486 era. These days, I only have a Switch 2 and a PS5. They both barely see any use outside of a handful of exclusive titles for both.

Atari 2600
Sega Genesis
Super Nintendo
Panasonic 3DO
Playstation 2
Xbox 360
Playstation 4
Xbox One X
Playstation 5

Here's my list in order of me owning them:
Sega Genesis
Sega GameGear (I broke in a rage... RIP)
Sony Playstation
Nintendo Gameboy Color
Sony Playstation 2
Gameboy Advance
Microsoft Xbox
Nintendo DS
Nintendo Gamecube
Microsoft Xbox 360
Sega Dreamcast
Sega Saturn
Super Nintendo
Nintendo Wii
Sega CD
Nintendo 3DS
Nintendo Wii U
Nintendo Switch

All the while I've had PC's for gaming. Yes, I never owned a Super Nintendo growing up. I also never ever owned a Nintendo 64. I have no desire to either. That is one console that I never "got it".

I owned

Nintendo
GameBoy
Super Nintendo
Sega Saturn
PlayStation
PlayStation 2
Edit: I owned a couple of Xbox 360s too but only ever used them as Windows Media Center Extenders, never even downloaded nor played a game on them.

#2 is the only console I ever owned I got a C64 after that and never wanted to go back to consoles again computers are so much better than some walled garden box.

I don't own any these days. My GF has a Switch 2, but I'm purely a PC gamer, have been for a long time. Last console I had that I really used was the SNES. I got a PC some time after that and that was when I got enthralled with PC gaming. I did actually own an Xbox One X, but I never really used it. Was a Covid purchase with the idea of playing more on the couch. I ended up not, and just getting a fiber optic HDMI cable and wiring the computer to the TV as well, which is still how I do it.

Never felt the need for one since PC gaming is so robust. Who knows if that will change though due to shortages and insane price hikes.

I've only bought Nintendo consoles for the last 20 years due to the exclusive games and gadgets. I play on PC exclusively otherwise. I do have a ps4 that I used for bluray playback, but it's never seen a game disc.

I have 11-15, 12 has been modded near full with a mod chip and a 500gb samsung evo for storage that holds 500gb of which is stacked with games atm. 13 i'm currently working on to install a glitch chip as well as to setup future hard mods i do with it. 11 is getting the raspberry pi pico treatment in the future sometime after i'm done with 13 ;) i do also have a modded 2DS that i carry with me in case i get bored while away from home while on a vacation or something of the sorts

Nintendo Switch 1 and a black Elite Xbox360. Neither get very much use anymore, once in a while I play one of the Zelda games on the Switch.

Mainly stick to PC gaming so I don't see any reason to buy the PS5 or Xbox, none of their exclusives wow me enough to spend that kind of $$$ plus with the way things are going today.

Let's see,

Master system
Megadrive
32x
Snes
3DS
Switch
PS1
PS2
PS4
PS5
PS5 pro
Xbox one x
Xbox series X

Consoles I currently have:
SNES (2chip unmodded)
N64 (serviced for RetroGEM basic)
PS2 phat (300x model)
OG Xbox (probably 1.2-1.3)
Wii (RVL-001 model (serviced for RetroGEM basic)
Wii U
PS4 Slim
Nintendo Switch (launch model)
Portables are DSI non-XL (blue) and New 3DS XL (Red), along with the Switch.

Tbh I mainly game on PC so I have some OG hardware whenever I want to game on a 4:3 CRT while capturing sharp pixels, same thing will be for the HDMI consoles but I need a DAC (like the reflex prism) or a scaler like the RetroTink 4K for that CRT Mask replication with an HDMI Splitter. Between what I have the only consoles I desire now are the Dreamcast, 360 and PS3, the MiSTer (although FPGA (hardware emulation)) helps a ton with getting retro games on CRTs without buying OG Hardware, servicing it for RGB, getting flashcarts etc. I also desire Dolby Pro Logic I/II with my modern AV Reciever (Denon X3800H), so there is that point for OG hardware as well. Don't really use software emulation unless in cases where games run significantly better compared to OG Hardware. Other then that I'm either for OG Hardware or decomp/recomp PC Ports, I'm rarely anything in between.
