How can I monitor or view data usage for each device on network?

At any given point I have at least 20+ devices on my network, which include Ring cameras, streaming devices (apples, firesticks), televisions, phones, tablets, lutrons, computers, etc. How can I look at how much internet data each device is using? It does not have to be real time data, but maybe for the day, or the past 24 hours, or really wahtever data I can get. Current router is ASUS AX 55. I also have an ASUS AX 1800s which I don't use but I have as a backup.

Do I need a new router or is there a way to achieve what I want? Do I need additional hardware?

Get a better router, use pihole or adguard would be the common starting places. There's more and it all depends on how much info and in what manner you want it

A device like firewalla can do that. I'm sure there are others, but I used them in the past and liked their no subscription model.

Edit to add: firewalla plugs in your existing router and monitors everything. The higher end ones can replace your router or major functions of, but the basic ones basically just watch.

WireShark could get the data you want, maybe not compiled in a nice way. As mentioned, there are routers and switches which expose that information nicely.

I want to know how much data each device is using. On my router it shows my monthly or daily usage. I would like to see that data broken down by device. For example my desktop, I want to see how much data its using daily/monthly, weekly.

Did you even look at the Traffic Analyzer and turn it on? It shows a pie chart with top 5 devices that is interactive. Click on a device and it shows the data, and click on "more" in that data box and it shows app breakdown.

I did. That's why Im here. I dont see a pie chart nor does it show the top 5 devices. Like I said, it shows oveall data for the day,and daily data since March 30, but does not break it down by devie. And mine is called Traffic Monitor, which router are you referencing when you say "traffic analyzer"? do i have the wrong router?

I have AX88U where Traffic Analyzer is in the menu on the left and then Statistic and Traffic Monitor tabs on that page. Statistic is where it shows what I'm talking about.
