Picked up this monitor from NewEgg as a 40th birthday gift to myself. Replacing my LG 32GS95UE WOLED. I've tried QD-OLED monitors before but I've always hated the reflective glass and how easy they are to scratch. Asus have knocked it out of the park with this QD-OLED monitor. The "Blackshield" tech has reduced the reflection to basically non-existent. Colors pop so much more than they ever have on the LG WOLED monitor. It's also very nice to finally have 4K 240hz HDR without display screen compression. I can finally use Dynamic Super Resolution and push those older games beyond 4K. Thoroughly impressed with the PG32UCDM3.

The Asus PG32UCDM3 is on the left, LG 32GS95UE WOLED on the right in the pic below.

This is a very nice monitor, but the issue that kills it for me is the stand design. The panel sits very high even at its lowest position: 21" from the desk to the top of the panel. They raised it even further than what it was in the previous model which was already too high. I don't know what they're thinking with that. You're basically forced to get a monitor arm, which I don't want to bother with.

The other thing is that the 39" LG 5K tandem WOLED is coming very soon. The colors will likely still not be as good, but the brightness should be fine, and the extra width makes a big difference for the better.
 
Curious about this, I went for the 360hz 1440p Samsung G60SD

Its sad 4k cant go higher than 240hz. I personally see the difference but for 4k........ I miss 4k. Unsure how I would fit 2 monitors on my desk or if I should just stay 1440p 27" for FPS and then just get a large oled for everything else.
 
After getting the monitor coming from a 34in ultrawide 1440p oled. The clarity difference was very noticeable coming from 1440p to 4k. I also don't miss the black borders when im watching videos as well lol.

That is pretty high, wonder how much lower the Strix / XG stand goes in comparison on the 32, my XG27UCDMG I have at the moment goes pretty low but it's 27" I'm not sure if the stands are different between the two sizes. I don't really care much about rotating to be honest, just makes it more annoying to get the stand in the perfect position but I can see how on a 32" it would be hard to use in that orientation anyway.

Main dumb thing about these asus models is they have a VESA adapter you have to attach onto the back of the screen they don't have the mount built into the panel itself.

I had to raise up the 27" 4k TCL VA one I'm using currently and the top of the monitor is still only 19" and it's about 1" or so higher than I had my IPS before.

Even 1080p is great for 27 so you're at 1440p which is more than enough. Can even stretch 1440p to 32". When I activate dlss on my 320hz 27" 1080p monitor I can't notice very much of a difference anything over balanced so even dlss performance setting is good for extra low latency. The only thing the higher resolution at 320 or 360hz does is increase latency and heat. If you play competitive fps games it's not worth it.

I avoided getting a monitor arm my whole life, after I did it's my favorite accessory for my monitor. Moving it to exactly where you want distance and height is so luxurious.

I also avoided getting a very fast higher hertz monitor, after I did I don't wanna play on the bigger slower display anymore 320 or 360 is awesome.

I was afraid these goodies were going to be addicting and sure enough they were lol.

Using a 60Hz monitor is awful at this point for me, even my phones are all higher refresh than that.

What monitor arm do you use? I've been eyeing one for my setup.
 
Not glossy, not interested. Defeats the purpose of Oled colors by having some shitty matte covering IMO.

It is glossy, like nearly all QD-OLED monitors. With some anti reflective properties which is why it’s commonly referred to as semi glossy

Oh yeah when I said slow I meant 144hz lol I haven't used a 60hz in over a decade or more.

For me the chart looks like this

Unacceptable= 60hz
Slow/acceptable =144hz
Medium = 240hz
Fast = 320/360hz
Fastest = 480+

It's so solid and works perfectly and has the clamp and the gromet style both.
And it's decently long so I pull it in front of my huge HDR display to play fps games.

Yeah I would say they are very much glossy, just not totally mirror-like as the glass-covered monitors that were popular like 10 years ago.
