I have a higher end pc hardwired 9800x3d with 9700xt and an Apple TV one generation back also hardwired in the same house and I can’t get it to run smoothly on my tv with an Xbox controller. Both devices if I speed test them to the internet get 800 up and down. I just can’t figure out what to do to make this work correctly. Any suggestions?
 
i believe i found an answer since it now runs correctly

i had to turn off hardware acceleration in steam

why turning that off is kind of a mystery to me but it appears that then allows the video card to do its thing correctly
