Prepare for a haunting journey into survival horror with Total Chaos from Trigger Happy Interactive and Apogee Entertainment, who were the minds behind Turbo Overkill. Launching in 2025 on Steam, this chilling reimagining of the original award-winning GZDoom-based mod plunges players into the eerie depths of Fort Oasis, a forgotten mining outpost filled with unspeakable horrors. A free demo will be available in early 2025, giving players their first taste of this harrowing adventure.

As a stranded Coast Guardsman, you’ll navigate the decayed remains of Fort Oasis, fending off relentless creatures and uncovering the island’s sinister secrets. Rely on improvised weapons and scarce supplies to survive, all while questioning the reality of your surroundings and your own memories. With atmospheric environments, dynamic AI, and psychological tension, Total Chaos pushes the boundaries of survival horror, delivering a terrifying experience where the line between reality and madness blurs.

Fans of horror games have been eating good the past few years. Can confirm that the demo offers some nice atmospheric horror, and the production values here are such that it doesn't feel like a "mostly made by one guy" project (even though, apparently, it is). I'm impressed. Sound design is really well done so far and contributes to the creepiness for sure. I'm going to finish the demo end up purchasing this one.

It also runs really well, which is nice for a new game to do in 2025. I think the game runs on Unity, but it looks a lot more like Unreal Engine than a lot of the other Unity-based indie games that I've played over the past couple of years.
