Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I probably shouldn't have read it, but I would rather know now that I haven't missed some secret upgrade or something :)
Thanks, I'll look forward to my awesome destructive future then!
My friend keeps telling me that he saw a trailer where Gordon picks up a car with the gravity gun and hurls it at a strider. I can't pick up any damn cards and i'm 3/4ths through the game. Is there any way/place/type of car that will let you pick them up?
Just curious!

I too have the audigy 2 zs and was getting bad stuttering during audio sequences... Updating to the latest drivers from creative helped a bit, but it still likes to hang for a second or two here and there.
The BFG ultra OC Water Cooled has a stock core speed of 425 mhz, but people have reported 470mhz + overclocks.
If you are willing to spend the $ and want THE fastest card you can have, get one. Unless you are willing to mod a x800xtpe by putting a waterblock on it.
Don't let the people...
PC2100 runs at 266mhz. Your 3000+ should be running at either 333mhz fsb or 400mhz (if its like mine). This means you are GIMPING your processor by running at a lower FSB than you have to. FSB is one of the biggest performance gains you can have in a system. Get a gig of PC3200 ram and watch...
Ok, first let me say, this is the best game ever.
Second, I wish it would play a little better on my system. The breakdown:
PNY 6800 GT oc'd to 410/1100, 61.77 drivers
Barton 3000+ (200mhz FSB)
1GB mushkin 222 special DDR 3200
I can play at 1600x1200, high detail, vsync on, and get...
I don't think the quality of the optimization is really important here. Its great. Its a FEATURE that I would love to have on any card, for sure. But what it really ammounts to is that ATI's optimization/aglorithm designers are better than Nvidia's. What I am concerned about is that there...
RE mouse lag, once the map finally loads, the mouse is nice and responsive (especially on a low ping time server). I am more and more thinking that more RAM will really help.
Let me preface by giving you a rundown of my setup:
AMD 3000+ @400mhz fsb
512 MB ram
8mb SATA 200 GB hd
9800pro w/ 4.3s
running UT2k4 @ 1280x960 with all settings at max, no AA/AF.
I am getting a lot of the same issues you are. Map load times are long. Seems like some people are able...
