Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I really like my PA271W. For photography/image work the added features over other 27" ones make it worth it, as well as the i1Display and SpectraView integration. Very versatile and capable display.
I had an EA231i for awhile and this is really a cut above. Worth the money I paid.
Sorry, but the GT isn't even the best in Panasonics lineup. That belongs to the VT series, which has a better panel than the one used in the ST and GT (as well as far more calibration settings). The Samsung D8000 plasma series is also excellent, right up there with the VT.
Eh, older iPod touches and iPhones don't get the same software features that the newer ones do. In the case of old iPod touches you can't even put the latest version of iOS on them. It's very similar to Android 1.6 > 2.1+ in this way.
Don't get me wrong, I don't like the practice at all, but...
You can't expect HTC to keep every Android phone they make up to date. From a business perspective, at some point you need to encourage users to upgrade. Apple does this all the time. Besides, the Eris was kind of an after-thought for Verizon since it was just a re-done Hero. The hardware was...
No, they only defaulted to Verizon Navigator. Google's Navigation program is there AFAIK, you just need to go into the settings and change the default navigation app.
Besides, most of the Google apps you can download from the Market incl. Google Search but that seems to a Froyo-only app...
Tethering is $20/month I think, 2GB cap (stupidly low).
You can technically tether without rooting using PDANet over USB and Verizon won't charge you, but you can't go crazy with the data usage. This is a breach of your contract also, but a lot of people do it, same with wireless tethering.
I would to be safe, but there's a thread on XDA that might have more info compared to when I wrote those instructions last night: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=770091
Don't wanna wait?
First, make sure in Settings > About Phone > Software Information it says 1.22.605.2 for your Software Version... if it says 1.22.605.0 don't use this just yet. Also, if you've modified anything from your 2.1 install (like removed City ID, etc) don't run this. You need to be...
They will only be using the AMOLED displays on the Incredible. Nothing has been changed and there's no indication it will.
The Sony LCDs are for newer Nexus Ones and HTC Desires. By switching those phones, they freed up enough screens for the Incredible.
