    Loved Rainbow Six and Rogue Spear. Had 2 PC's on a LAN at home and me and my buddy would play coop for hours. Also, Command and Conquer between the PC's was really fun. Didn't really play online multiplayer till BF42 and i played that game a lot! I remember the demo coming out in the summer...

    Well, well, well... I install the new patch and the game fired right up. I tried absolutely everything and nothing worked until this patch. Runs perfect and the graphics are beautiful. Thanks for the posts.

    I just bought a Corsair 120gb SSD so a reformat is in the cards anyway. For some reason, I still keep thinking that it's my soundcard preventing the game from launching. the lack of any driver updates being the giveaway.

    I am going to figure this out. I will reformat today and if it's hardware, it will be replaced. I waited for this game for 2 years Something is borked with this game say on 1% of machines. Don't know what it is but if I get it figured out, hopefully this thread will be helpful to someone.
