no it isnt, the A64 instalation is a breeze... works like a charm and you cant damage the CPU core unless you really MEAN it (hammer etc. involved).
Anyway, there is an issue i read somewhere about some motherboards not coping well with 2 512MB sticks but i havent seen that happen.
Personally I am a AMD user but i just saw a store here selling P4 Mobile CPU's Boxed. Will those fit in normal S478 Motherboards? I am interested because for a Media PC those would be MUCH better...
considering that a: Windows XP for 64bit extended systems (which is the real name) is not released yet and drivers for it are sparse at best. I would say you have to stick with Windows XP (32bit)

ok the programs like atitool, ragetweaker etc will only tell you what the bios says since that is what the card identifies itself, you actually have to remove teh cooler of the card to check what core you have...
