Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I used X2Go for a long time. Worked great. X2Go also requires X11 on the remote system. There is no, and will never be, support for Wayland.
However, all my Linux servers are now GUI less so I just need pure ssh thankfully.
My 9 Pro XL will last me a bit longer I think. No need to run to the 11 at this point unless there's some monumental change that I just have to have and I don't see that happening. Plus I think I'm moving to GrapheneOS this weekend.
It's possible i guess, but ublock origin lite still gets to load at least 30,000 filter rules under v3 with room to add more depending on what other extensions are doing. That's still an incredible amount of rules. For the average person looking at social media, news sites, and maybe a Google...
What in the world are you talking about?
I said I don't see a difference between ublock origin and ublock origin lite on Chrome.
Personally I use Firefox and ublock origin.
I'm already looking for a replacement for my last Roku TV. The OS itself long ago went to shit and now it has far too many ads shoved in your face. Not to mention Roku devices talk to the mother ship more than any other device on my network. My Pi-hole's top blocked queries are always Roku...
I don't use Chrome anymore, but my wife and kids do. I honestly never saw and still don't see a difference between ublock and ublock lite in terms of ads getting through. To me this is really just people wanting to piss and moan about a change they don't like versus it really being a detriment.
I run two Pi-hole's with Unbound which is on my OPNsense router.
I've also played with Technitium, which is incredibly powerful. Maybe some day I'll actually make the switch to it from Pi-hole. https://technitium.com/dns/
If DirtyFrag was being exploited before the disclosure no one has mentioned it. The researcher only released his POC and all his documentation after a 3rd party released information about HIS reporting of the exploit. So basically he followed proper procedures. There was an embargo in place...
Yeah, too bad a 3rd party released the information about DirtyFrag early. The original researcher who discovered it actually followed good disclosure procedures unlike Theori, who found CopyFail. So we shouldn't really know about DirtyFrag just yet.
Sometimes I honestly find it...
It's the only Chromium browser that shows the ENTIRE database in clear. All other Chromium browsers only show the password for the site you're visiting which is expected behavior.
You can easily dump passwords stored in MS Edge to clear text.

It shouldn't be that easy yet, MS calls it "intended behavior".
As an IT security professional, I call it a big security risk.
