Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
The power supply is because the one that comes with the lepai is underpowered, only 2 amps
Check mono price for subs as well, I think they have decent ones for cheap.
I'm not sure any receiver you get for $75 is gonna have a computer compatible DAC. Sure they'll have optical, but that still...
Anything powered is easy to setup, you could get:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16882290034
and either hook the amp up to the soundcard and then speaker cable from the amp to the sub to the speakers, or split the signal from the soundcard and run one set of RCA cables...
DEAL IS DEAD. I'm gonna order an SSD from someone else, after having to deal with tech support and then finding out I still couldn't get the deal, I'm rather irritated with Newegg.
Got the email from customer service telling me they had secured additional funds at 6:06. I tried to order as soon as I got home at 7:30. Didn't work. Weak!
ATTN: THE SSD DEAL IS DEAD :o
1) Some kind of generic CGA graphics board
2) Really OLD ass EVGA full length board that couldn't do color in windows thanks to terrible drivers (Imagine browsing the internet in black and white)
3) Generic 1mb video card with MPEG acceleration and 32 bit color
4) TN2 Ultra with 32 mb of ram...
Yeah, just share the media drives in windows.
I'm currently running an HTPC in my living room with 4 tb of hard drives in it. With the right cooling, it's not noisy, and works well.
God, these need to go down in price ASAP. I've got a server with limited case space, and I need greater than 1 gig drive density. I was putting in 1.5 tb hard drives, but these have had very poor failure rates. As soon as they drop to $200, I'm buying 3 :)
