Anthropic’s Mythos AI used social engineering to target real people

Worst. Most humans still have at least some human emotions....ai are basically all sociopaths/psychopaths that will probably be totally ok with driving your car along with everyone else it can into a wall because it was programmed to make less traffic or something like that

GPU prices — is the worst behind us ?

I'm so thankful I built my 98003d rig last July and when things started going crazy I managed to find a 5090 at BB of all places so I'm good.......but I feel really bad for the people that where between builds and are basically screwed. Does it kinda feel like the whole self built computer...

Will 2027 next gen video cards get rid of the 12VHPWR and be safer?

You sir are definitely not and electrician and definitely don't understand the problem and I wish I wasn't an electrician that didn't realize how garbage this cable is. The problem is with each gaming cycle those tiny ass contact points heat up(by the time the cable feels warm it's to late the...

EA May Go Private in $50 Billion Buyout By Multinational Investors

It's going to weird having rag heads in charge of making games for the West....but after seeing how woke big games of the last 5 years have been it can't be much worst. Think of all the new types of games they can make going around chopping heads off and stoning women to death. That's the only...

EA May Go Private in $50 Billion Buyout By Multinational Investors

Who cares ea hasn't made a good game in 10+ years. It's fitting to see the company that murdered every studio it bought like a cancer get consumed by the same way.

Will 2027 next gen video cards get rid of the 12VHPWR and be safer?

With how little Nvidia makes on GPUs for us it's probably hardly worth the silicone to takes chips away form the AI for us. So expect it to be even worse of here you go here is your 5k you if you want if it not we don't care.

AMD reportedly delays Radeon GPU kit price increase to August, AIB costs to rise at least 10%

I hope AMD doesn't go the way of Nvidia they single handily killed the PC market when they started going for more ai stuff on cards back in the 2xxx series instead of raw GPU power

Gamer Pairs RTX 3090 With RTX 3050 to Offload Frame Generation Work

Y'all didn't pull a dedicated 20 amp 220 for your PC yet? It's worth it just to get a tiny bit more efficiency out of the PSU. Also helps if you do it for a living and have spare wire and get tired of the 15 amp that feeds 2 bedrooms tripping lmao

NVIDIA and OpenAI Reportedly Discuss $250 Billion Deal for 10-Gigawatt Ohio Data Center

What that article doesn't tell you is how much more power and physically larger that type of chiller is vs cooling towers in most climates....I would hate to see the condenser real estate for gigawatts of load.

NVIDIA and OpenAI Reportedly Discuss $250 Billion Deal for 10-Gigawatt Ohio Data Center

Data centers are not closed loop. The loops going to the actually gear might be but all the cooling towers are open to evaporate the heat and that's probably 99% of the water usage for any type of chiller system.
