    Dscaler worked for me better then Virtual Dub, video quality wise. Every program recognized the capture device though. Make sure you installed all wdm drivers and stuff.

    Ever uninstalled a Scythe Ninja?

    Scythe only says use the backplate if it's absolutely necessary. The three motherboards i've worked with a ninja as of late, fit the retention bracket just fine with the stock backplates. I don't think heating it via hair dryer would damage the mobo much.
