Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Ugh, i really see no reason why you wouldn't at least update your mobo if you can get a decent 939 mobo for $40 bucks used. Just gotta make sure it's from a good source. The better chipset and video card savings should offset that cost easily.
Apparently the so called "software" backwards compat ps3's still had the RSX graphics synthesizer and only the Emotion Engine chip was being emulated. Thus the new PS3's don't have that either to save money. Apparently the PS3 just isn't powerful enough to emulate the ps2's hardware (remember...
Hrm, nevermind i just looked into BD+, i guess they are a little more hardcore but the intent is the same.
Blu-ray is also coming down in price now $500 players soon. If the ps3 price drops that will help it dramatically. The tides will turn massively for it as soon as the price drops and...
Dscaler worked for me better then Virtual Dub, video quality wise.
Every program recognized the capture device though. Make sure you installed all wdm drivers and stuff.
The cable supplied with my saphire that works with this is a set of four. This 8-9 pinned cable (shaped like the s-video sorta but more pins) that has s-video input/output and composite in/out (four connections total from the one cable). That is what i got for input. The RGB one is just for...
Okay, yeah so i've got an 1800xt and am trying to get it work well too. Don't want to steal your thread but i thought we could share suggestions. I've got video working but....
Something tells me it's of poor quality. I have svideo plugged in and the screen is shaking very annoyingly...
I upgraded recently and at earliest i'd upgrade again in two years. I choose whatever gives me the most bang for the buck. So if i were to upgrade within the next few months it would probably be a conroe unless amd outprices them.
Scythe only says use the backplate if it's absolutely necessary. The three motherboards i've worked with a ninja as of late, fit the retention bracket just fine with the stock backplates.
I don't think heating it via hair dryer would damage the mobo much.
You might be able to find adaptors, i have no clue. I edited the oc portion to clarify incase your planning on it.
I got lucky as i bought a new psu a month or so ago when planning my big step into the 939/pci-x route.
Hrm... found this @ newegg (adaptor)...
I just bought that mobo to replace my "awesome" epox experience. The manual says to place it on the second pci-x slot (the one farthest from the cpu). I've been running it for a week or so with one x1800xt and it works just fine as it says in the manual.
I'm sorry I can't help you much with...
