Coming from a glossy AW2725DF I must say Im enjoying the matte finish of my G6 500hz, not having reflections in daylight conditions makes the experience less distracting.
I heard 1st gen WOLED models have a pretty aggressive matte coating, with noticeable grain, while the latest models have...
Hey now, it's a 25 year old obscure high end hardware, cant expect any shop to be able to diagnose it. Not everyone is like Unkle Vito or Steve.
I recall an F520 owner having a similar issue, but less severe. He said it was due to a bad connector between the mainboard and neckboard, so he...
Ok, it seems like it does 720hz at 720p. Perhaps it could look good with DSR and increased rendering resolution.

AW2725DF still didnt get an update to add DSC toggle, I distinctly recall them promising it last year.
My next OLED will not be a Dell Alienware, they're just not feature rich enough for something thats supposedly premium.
Apparently this is a 540hz OLED monitor that can "overclock" to 720hz. It's also going to use the new 4th gen WOLED panel technology with the RGB triple stack.
How is it doing 720hz? Maybe it's at 1080p?
Should we expect LG or ASUS to use this panel and technology next year...
What would be the practical use for a 5120x2880 27" OLED? Even at 4k everything needs to be scaled up on Windows, and in terms of pixel density we'd be way beyond the point of diminishing returns.
At least with LCDs these super hi-res can be used as secondary monitors for productivity, but this...
I knew someone who had an F520 with a similar issue. It was caused by oxidation at the cable connections in the neckboard. You can try spraying some contact cleaner to see if it alleviates the issue.
It's easy to disregard 165hz as too low for today's standards, but the first OLED gaming monitor was that fast, around 2 years ago.
Shows how fast the tech is evolving.
