I can afford to add one more box, I believe. I just haven't decided what to put in the box. I am probably getting 2 1080 Ti's (looks like I am going to have to wait for a bit, since I did not preorder) in some kind of box. I would like to see some DC numbers for Ryzen before deciding what to...

Thanks lelliot731, I will vote for you again! Meanwhile, CV is almost congratulating me while adding some horsepower to his folding, edging me out on points the last couple of days... Couldn't you have waited for the 1080Ti drop?

Quick! Someone else vote! Yeah, I'm a n00bie, Brandon. Long time lurker, just don't say much. CV, I may add a 1080Ti or two, just depends. Don't think Vega is going to touch it much, just wary of the latest Nv drivers.

New Core 21 0.0.18 lower PPD

I am not seeing much drop in PPD for my GPU slots (1080s and 1060s), maybe a 5% drop, but this could be due to WU variance. (running 373.06 drivers) I did have the transient drop while the systems waited for the GPU slots to go idle to allow the core update.

Just an FYI, I was replying (to Skillz) on the nomination thread that my forum name is tmossman01 and then the thread closed.

Is the Ubuntu DC appliance still "up to date"?

Thanks, I suppose that I will install a more current Ubuntu (that was my plan) and go from there. I may need to ask some more questions, if I encounter any issues. I want to get that machine back to folding, as it was freezing up (probably due to some driver mish-mash with the swap to Nvidia...

Is the Ubuntu DC appliance still "up to date"?

Or should I use a different method? My previous desktop which I want to mostly dedicate to folding has become slightly unstable in Windows 7 due to several updates (MB replacement, video card replacement, and so forth) It is currently running Win 7 and I am trying to decide what OS to load for...

[H]orde give away #2 winner is........

No, live in GA with about 5500 sq ft to cool. During summer, power bill is 8-900. 300 is about what get on a "no AC/heater" month. Must get more insulation, I reckon and lay the smackdown on my brother and mom to turn things off...(except the folding machine.) June was (a bit) brutal with the...

For the [H]orde Give Away 2nd Edition!

Thanks everyone! I almost pulled my name when I saw my last power bill, but decided that folding is something that I want to do. (I just need to scrounge up some money for more insulation!!!) Thanks again all and let the WU's flow!!! Moss.

[H]orde give away #2 winner is........

Wow.... I wasn't really expecting to **WIN**. I have a good idea what I am going to do with it. My brother and nieces have old computers which were not really up to folding.... This will make a nice addition to the fold ;). (And since the computers are on all the time anyway, hopefully the...

    AMD X6 = 14k ppd, Intel i7 = 15k ppd

My x6 is at 3840+(240*16). I bumped the voltage up to 1.35. I had turbo on for 5 cores and was priming at 4100 at 1.55V (turbo boost ramps the voltage), but did not like the temps. It might do the 3840 at lower volts and might do more than the 3840 at 1.35, but I was in a hurry. I am...
