Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
My company used to use the iDen network in the US as well as Telus' Mike (iDen) network in Canada.
Earlier this year they got rid of the iDen phones in the US and last month they got rid of the Mike service in Canada.
It was a slow, expensive service and we're saving a lot of money by just...
The biggest concern with FAT32 would actually be file size limitations. You can only have a 4gb file on FAT32, which may be fine for most people, but it will not allow you to store 2 hours of DVD Quality video in DVD format. Oh, and Windows 2000/XP will only partition FAT32 up to 32GB, even...
Technically: Backing up your DVD's is illegal due to the need to crack the encryption, even though you could argue that you are just exercising your fair rights.
Definately: Giving your neighbours copies of your DVD's IS ILLEGAL.
The downside to that of course is that you lose your system in the winter/extreme summer weather. Maybe set up a back up with it as well?
Or, as an alternative, just run a drive in that weather and see if it stands up to it. I'd be more worried about condensation around the CPU than the HDD...
While I agree with you that CS may be a problem in some hardware configurations, I have never had a bad experience using it. I have an opinion, a personal one, that CS should be used unless there is a problem later.
I understand that it takes only a second to set the jumper for most...
Master is ALWAYS on the end of the cable, slave is ALWAYS in the middle. It's not lazy, it's just elimination of a needless step. I find that most people do what they prefer anyway. The only problem with cable select is that some drives had issues with it. This is a manufacturer problem, not...
Using another controller to recover the data will more than likely screw things up further. Unless you use exactly the same controller chipset, you will definately cause more problems.
