like stated above several times - TWC HD is totally dependant on the local head end. here in the Cinci market, all the true HD channels look great. the ones that are just 480p stretched to 16:9 and upscaled to 1080i look horrid.

what form factor is it? we have had about 35 of the usff 620's die on us at work in the last 3 months.
we have been using an adjustable iron to remove / replace them ... iirc greg found that right around the 30-35 watt setting works best...
personally, i don't find the TX3's noise levels offensive. the only time it ever spins up is when i'm playing a game - and then i'm usually putting headphones on, or cranking the speakers up anyway.

tried setting a 3 to 6 second IDE delay on boot in your bios? might give your monitor a chance to catch up.
I have the 172w, and when i had both dvi and vga hooked up, it used to do that, now that the ati drivers really suport dvi right, i can stick with dvi only, and the monitor shows post...
