You would have to play them for an extended period of time to blow em completely ( and I probably exaggerated in my post) but any time you get distortion is a bad thing, so emphasizing the care while doing this is important.- thull

Cables - go to www.monoprice.com I wouldn't recommend using speaker cable connectors. I just run the bare wire to the speaker/receiver terminals and call it a day. IMO a direct connection is always best. Audio from the DVD upconverter - surround sound would be passed via HDMI or through...- thull
