    i upgraded from 5950Ultra to 6600GT and its made a hell of a difference :) plus if you buy a board that is SLI capable you can buy an extra card whenever you need to, to get even faster performance.

    consoles can make use of more powerful hardware the same way PC's can. imagine in 20 years when we have the X-Box 5 with carbon nanotubes and crap like that, able to handle 64xAA and 64xAF, with hardware ray-tracing to boot. everything scales upwards :)

    New card, are my benches OK?

    CPU is most likely the reason why 01 is so low. 03 and 05 is probly because his memory may be at 3200 and no overclock on the graphics card, no tweaks etc. looks about right for a fresh install with everything stock.

    Frustrated with 6800GT and Aquamark

    RMA the motherboard or buy a new one completely, its very rare that a problem like this would be down to PSU power, if an Nvidia card is underpowered it will display a message on windows startup saying your card is running in low power 3d mode.
