• Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.

What are you talking about? Where did I say anything even related to bitcoin economy? All I said is that if mining at a rate of X is profitable, so is mining at a rate of 10X. The same can be applied to almost any other productive activity. If giving 1000 blowjobs is profitable, then...

^ So are suggesting that the increase in demand for bitcoins will not cause the value of bitcoins to rise?

Well that's for each individual to decide. I don't mine, but I'll probably pick up video cards for gaming anyways. Given that I don't pay for electricity, I'd probably be profitable rather quickly.

720 Mh/s on those two cards? Would you mind sharing the split? How much Mhash on each card? I'm thinking of going 6970+6870 just to pay them off.

The best scenario that I can relate it to is if you left your wallet full of cash on your night stand and someone broke in, stole the cash, and left. You would not be able to reverse that theft without finding who stole the cash. Bank transactions on the other hand, can typically be reversed...

Yea... I don't do bitcoin (at this time).... but if I did, I'd truecrypt my wallet with an insanely long password and back it up in multiple places. That way if someone breaks into my house and steals my computer, I'm still okay.

That was a different exploit. He had his wallet compromised. Which is entirely different than the exchange hack.

Thanks for the reply... Maybe a 6970 and a 6870 would be a good idea? I'd like to keep all the hard drives in there.

I'm going to give this a shot since I generate more electricity from my solar panels than I use. I have a file server that I just need to add video cards to. I was wondering if my PSU will be enough. I have an XFX 650 Watt (Seasonic) My setup: Sempron 140 4gb DDR3 6x2TB 5400 Green HDs...
