Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Interesting thought--it is a laptop and I never really fooled around upgrading one before, I only have done things in past with desktops. I am so rusty, haven't done anything computer related in a good 5-6 years now and am hopelessly out of date.
I did run memtest86 and the Ram passes with...
Trying to upgrade ram from 1gb to 2gb using 2-1gb sticks of Rendition pc-2 5300 ram on a hp dv6400 laptop.
The laptop is AMD Turion Dual 64x2 mobile at 1.6 ghz, running Vista 32 bit and the main issue is when installing the new RAM, the computer becomes unstable and will go to BSOD at...
HAHA success. Hijack This and it's misc tools with delete file on reboot has solved both of my problems. I hate Panda Antivirus.
I hate Panda Antivirus.
I want this post to appear whenever someone google searches Panda, so they can know how much I hate it,
Sorry to say, I more then likely removed the program manually in the past, there is no uninstaller and add/remove programs shows Panda but doesn't do anything with it.
I will edit with what else I have used/done in a minute, let me get back on that computer.
OK--I have tried to delete the...
Shelltit.dll and titcfg.dll from Panda Antivirus 2004. I tried safe mode and they are loaded and in use then too. I am having issues with McAfee getting on my system correctly because it senses another antivirus program running. And please, let's not turn this into a AVG thread or whatever...
My best deal was getting my 43" HDTV Hitachi for about $40 plus $40 for delivery. I think it cost me the first $40 to order the copies of MS Office from the MS retail edge site for shipping, returned them in store for full credit and then the other40 was to get the tv delivered.
Thanks Bill...
I know this is an old dead deal, but since this thread turned into a reseller ratings topic as well, figured that I would give a little insight into the huge negative ratings that the major retailers have gotten thru them. I know that the cc one was because of a web site error regarding rebates...
It really sux that I am a member of the 10k club and since I lost my job, it is all for nothing. Not that I was planning on buying this, since I think last years deal is still strong and I didn't want to dump a ton of money into an upgrade.
Score 1 for the good guys. It worked and I am posting this from the formerly borked box. Weird that you utility could basically fix it using an automated method of exactly what I was trying to do, but I don't care, it worked!!!!1one--lol
Thanks a lot, I appreciate it
