Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Looks like it is still only out on beta channels to me. My app isn't interested in updating and it's version (11.0.8.299) is the same as the one you download from nVidia.
It's also my understanding that it works better on higher rez screens because of higher input resolution. So however good it is a 4k, it is better at 8k. I lack the ability to test that but based on what I understand about these, it makes sense.
I suspect that really it will be the only way...
Very much looking forward to this. From the look of things, it is basically a straight up improvement. The most stunning shot was the one where you could compare native PT to ultra performance PT. Like, you can see the downgrade, it isn't invisible... but fuck me is it WAY less than I would...
Yep, which is why getting worked up over AV issues and making an article is stupid. Like I get being ANNOYED, but it isn't a conspiracy. We use Sophos at work (ugh) and there have been a few times over the years where an update caused it to go nuts over a system file and cause issues on...
Thanks but I'll keep using Windows as it works well, and VLC in fact works well on my Windows computer. I mean if you want to switch OSes because of a story from some dude online, go ahead but I'll keep using my system and not worry about it, thanks.
A game might if the demands are low enough that there is no need... On the other hand since it is a part of most engines these days, why NOT have it, particularly since DLAA is extremely competent TAA.
Ya well, I don't think anyone expected AMD would do so poorly on the PC market.
It does not, though they could make it work since all cards can do INT8 calculations (that's basically what shaders do for a lot of the graphics in a game).
Also even if you could break in everywhere, most of it won't contain anything interesting. Even if game devs wasted a ton of time and effort making all kinds of individualized houses... it would be wasted because after the initial "Wow they really made a city where you can go in ANYWHERE!" worse...
From the reviews and teardowns I looked at, it is a well built CWT unit. Nothing to complain about. Only thing that the reviewers noted (which I did as well) as that they did a bit o cost cutting that makes it Titanium at 120v but only Platinum at 240v. Not a huge deal, but the very best PSUs...
I doubt they will give a timeframe until they feel ready. I think they learned their lesson with No Man's Sky where a launch before it was ready really fucked them. Also they are, near as I know, doing good on money from NMS sales so they can afford to take it slow.
It also needs to be a decent...
Likely not, very rare companies release a circuit spec these days. You only really see it in niche or some very high end stuff and often even then not. Part of it is just that things are much harder to repair, what with the increased use of ICs and SMD devices, part of it is repairs are less...
The issue is that they tend to suck at RMAs. In general, their hardware is quite good. I actually own quite a bit of it personally and I've been lucky and as of yet not needed an RMA. They seem to have a generally low failure rate.
However when something DOES fail, they often seem to suck at...
Sunk cost fallacy is motherfucker. It is real easy to fall in to the trap of "I've already spent so much, it would be a waste not to finish this!" and throw more money at something. We are all vulnerable. I had that happen with my car not long ago. A packrat got in and chewed up some wires...
They are never going to finish. Between Robert's scope creep and the fact of just how off the rails all the development has gone, it'll never get finished up. They will always be messing with it, never working towards an end deliverable.
What I expect to happen is they will continue to do as...
