    Try upping the vcore it definitely helps. Running my 2500 at 1.91 Ghz my vcore is 1.7. When I clock my 2500 to 3200 I have to set my vcore to 1.9volt.

    Zalman 7000cu or Silent Boost

    I have a silent boost. With my 2500barton clocked to 2315mhz 11x210 with 1.8v. My Gigabyte GA-7N400 Pro2 reads 57C. I agree that zalman is better cooler but you better check if the Zalman can actually fit your mobo.

    My local store has a gigabyte 9800 xt for over $500. I think they also sell the x800 pro for $469. I have no idea what goes on there.
