    hmn..yeah I'm guessing its the ati tool causing the troubles - running 3dmark05 after installing ati tool netted me about 1000 points less then when it wasn't installed. I guess I just have to find the setting that tells ati tool to undercolck the gpu (didn't even know it had that functionality...

    really? I checked other projects on their site and the only ones I saw that hit the 6000's were overclocked x800xt's (at least what I saw) - I did notice that one with similar system setup to myself and a stock x800xt hit 4900 which is still a fair bit above what I managed to peg.
