    At my wits end with Abit board and SATA problem...

    I had the same problem with booting taking 15 minutes. Asus K8V SE. A bad harddrive was the problem. The bios could see it just fine, but windows wasn't able to read it and spent 15 minutes trying. I suppose it was from accedently ramming it into my case really hard. :/
