virus problem/
all keyboard settings are correct IN WINDOWS. like stated in the first post when i go into the bios it says the keyboard setting is JAPAN and i cannot change it. it just skips past that selection when i scroll through. i'm assuming this is the root of all the problems i'm having but don't...- stearnum

virus problem/
i am 100% sure that nothing got on the keyboard. none of the keys are stuck. nothing physical appears to be wrong with teh keypad of the laptop. ive got a usb keyboard in teh closet i will get out and see where we go from there.- stearnum

its pretty much that whole bank of keys on the left side.. other than the tab key. like i said it is fresh off a format so it does not have a virus right now. what happened... it was working fine and the wife was doing some online homework and then the keys started acting funny. many more...- stearnum

virus problem/
on my wife's pc she got a virus and all the keys were quite messed up. i went ahead and formatted the dell 5100 inspiron and still some keys are not working. the fn key, caps lock, ctrl, shift... maybe more. either way i cannot figure out something more than software was effected but who...- stearnum
