    Strage Power Up Problem.

I bought a new PSU, and still same problem is happening. Its strange, another thing I've noticed is that if I shut off the computer, I can turn it on with no problem. If there's a wait time that it is shut off then I have to play with the power.

    Strage Power Up Problem.

1 stick. Same stick, same mobo, different config. isn't that strange? It's looking like a power issue, if the PSU has to be played with for it to work. Not sure of his exact wiring, has surge protector, and when I was building his computer I've had the same problem, but not to extent where...

    Strage Power Up Problem.

While I don't mind him returning his PSU and getting another, I wonder if PSU is really the issue. I want to bring over my PSU and see if the problem persists. I hope it's not the motherboard. We have the same Mobo and Ram, yet his mobo won't accept the ram in slot DIMM1 like mine does, it...

Buying a monitor, will pc bottleneck it?

Alright.. I expected that, but I don't have to play at that resolution, correct. It wouldn't be the worst thing in the world to lower the resolution in games that struggle?

Okay I'm sorry Danny, thanks for your help. 7) What size monitor do you have and/or plan to have? I have a CRT 21" monitor. I'll get a flatscreen LCD in future. 8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC? Tonight if possible, but I can be convinced otherwise. 9) What features do you need...

$300 computer, here's what I have so far.

Okay , first thanks to everyone with the help, you've convinced me that its a bad GPU, I'll go with 4670. Amazon has it for 74.99 with free shipping and no tax. Maybe I can do okay with 2GB of RAM for now, maybe get one 2GB stick.

$300 computer, here's what I have so far.

I already have an Antec 500W PSU, and I'll look around for a PC Case. In the mean time, here's what I have: I'm looking into saving some money on the RAM. It'll be a pretty fast computer, and I'm not a heavy gamer. (Lock On, BF2, CS:S yada yada) Comments? Pick it apart if you will :D

AGP Video Card Died, Need New One.

You're right noquarter, thanks. After heavy debate, and couch digging, I think a $300 PC would be a good investment. It'll serve my purposes for sure. I'm off to the General H, to figure things out. Thanks for all the help from everyone.

AGP Video Card Died, Need New One.

You know, Im at a crossroad here. The cards you guys recommend, I might as well pay 100$ more and get a new computer entirely with a video card. I have a lot to think about. I see older posts with same problem as mine, and people just upgraded to dual core pci-e.
