naticus, yes I get a small amount of coil whine. I got more with my previous card an AMD 7970 GHz. It can be annoying and hard to tell whether it's the psu or gpu!
I have recently gotten this card and am finding a few issues with it. Basically some games and utils will not run full screen but will run in a window - either more clocked or left factory clocked.
Specifically, Grid 2 and Titanfall will run windowed but not full screen. Unigine Valley runs...
I got an MSI 570. Seems they have two types - the initial ref release and a later beefed up FrosR release. I have the earlier one because the price difference between it and the 560 etc was tiny. The 570 also equates with the ATI 6970 - lots of tests show this is. I can say too that mine...
I have the Viewsonic VP2365wb and am very pleased with it. It seems BHSdirect (the high street BHS chain does computer gear too) have this for £192 including delivery. Nothing really to add to the TFTCentral review except that it is a great value monitor. I tried the Benq vw2420h VA and was very...
Just bought a Viewsonic VP2365wb and am very pleased with it. I tried a Benq VW2420h and was very very disappointed with it. But this Viewsonic is light years in performance and quality away from the Benq but very close in price.
I read around for reviews and noted CNET's gripes. The chassis...
I tried a VW2420H and found the same issue. It is the LED backlight shining through. The backlight is not one continuous tube: it is many small separate LEDs with a gap between each - hence the ripple effect. I returned mine because of this and a dark large smear mark up the centre of the...

I agree, I recall the days of Intel CPUs being bloated in price and low in performance. It was the rise of AMD that stopped that and gave rise to CPUs of affordable performance. We NEED competition else we'll get fleeced.
No fetish here - she does her job or else she's out!! The bitch does as she's told! What? Cough! Sorry! Cough! What? where am I? Oh yes, well, I guess you're joking... But here in the UK there was a story of a guy in a hostel recently caught shagging his bike by some cleaners. He ended up in...
I went from a X1900XT 512 MB which oced quite well to an 8800 GT and though I can't quantify the fps, I can say there is a noticeable difference which is afterall what you want - mere numbers are meaningless here. Overclocking obviously increases the differnece. Well worth the upgrade.
Stock fan at 60%. 2100 seems fine but I turn it down to 2000. Core, I can get 710 fine but 720 causes artifacts; so I settle for 702.
Settings are odd in Riva2.06. For instance, the reported shader oc speeds jump from 1728 to 1782. I find that 702 gives 1728 and 1760ish gives 1782. Anyone...
One of the best value cards is by Zotac. The amp version 700/1700/2000 costs little more than the ordinary one. Only problem is the one year warranty. In the face of the competition offering lifetime warranties, you'd think they'd offer the same at least.
You've ordered the 'amp' version for the same price as the ordinary one. However, I have the ordinary one and it easily runs 700/1700/2000. I have not pushed it further. I think that oc is near the limit of what it can do on the supplied fan. So the HR03 GT is the one I will try. BTW, Zotac is...
