Exactly what SixFootDuo said. I didn't mean HDR is fake or not needed, I was just saying that by the time the standard HDR format comes to light, OLED will be more affordable and the better choice. But I do hate LCD technology as far as TVs go. It was a shame when Plasma went out, other than...
So does one model and/or company have a better reputation than others with the current 1440p/144Hz/IPS options out there?
I know that IPS panels have different degrees of IPS glow which is different from straight up backlight bleed. But just the bleed or glow issues is not my only concern when...
Hi All!
I am currently rocking a Dell S2716DG gaming monitor (1440p 144Hz) and it's been great, but I really wish it was IPS. My main reason for picking up the Dell was because of quality control reasons. I really wanted to try out one of the ASUS or Acer 1440p IPS gaming monitors, but I have...
Thanks for the info! Yeah I normally only buy Samsung TVs, however I am a huge fan of OLED technology and can't wait until prices come down a bit more and it's more standard. However, it really irks me how Samsung is doing this cheesy QLED marketing crap and of course had to use the letter "Q"...
Does anyone have any more info on this TV? I would love to try it to use as a monitor. Anyone know what kind of input lag it has? Response time etc? Mainly using it for PC and Console gaming.
I tried out the LG 34UC79G-B ultrawide, which is 34 inches, Curved, 2560x1080 and does 144Hz all in a IPS panel. While it was a nice monitor, I just couldn't get into the 21:9 ultrawide format. I mainly used it for gaming but some games looked great and other games were just weird. For example...
I know with Nvidia cards, if you have a custom resolution setup for say 75Hz or whatever, after doing a driver update a lot of times that gets wiped out. You then just have to simply recreate the custom resolution.
Awesome good to know! I have a Nvidia card but have really been wanting to check this monitor out. Input lag on it has been my biggest concern before ordering one. :)
Hi! I just heard there was a "game mode" with the HP Omen 32, but that game mode requires a freesync AMD video card. The game mode like tv's game mode reduces the input lag. But since NVIDIA cards don't have freesync you can't turn on game mode on the HP Omen 32 if you are using a NVIDIA card...
Haha! I like your metaphors. :)
Well I would like to keep the price pretty open. I guess $1000 or less. I plan on using the monitor for design work and gaming so its kind of killing two birds with one stone. If I buy two monitors, one for gaming and one for design work, it will probably be in...
So I have been hunting for a monitor that is good for both gaming and design work. The dilemma is that normally the best gaming monitors suck for graphic design work and the best monitors for graphic design work suck for gaming. So basically I am searching for a unicorn! :)

Anyone using this monitor with an NVIDIA card know what kind of input lag they are getting? I heard it is lower with AMD cards due to being able to use game mode.
Hi all! So what is the input lag like for this monitor when using NVIDIA cards?
I am referring to input lag, not response time or the Hz of the monitor.
I was reading something about to get the lowest input lag the monitor has to be in game mode, but game mode only works if you have an AMD...
Yeah no idea. The original bios and the most updated one both do the same thing. Basically when I use XMP, it bumps up the voltage in my CPU causing higher temps, but also I am getting the full speed of my DRAM.
Hi All!
I did a new build about a month ago and I have noticed some unusually high temperatures with my 7700K.
I originally had a Hyper 212 cooler on my build, but after seeing the temps I decided that maybe it wasn't cutting it so I switched to a Corsair Hydro H80i v2. However the temps are...
