    On low it's pretty much silent but still pushes tonnes of air, on medium and high it produces a very low hum so it's not as annoying as smaller fans, I've never needed to use those settings though.

    Nope, but if my DVD drive was any longer I would have since it's touching the fan, so if yours is too long you'll have to put it in one of the bottom bays. Yep, pretty much any will fit providing you remove the bottom HDD rack. But you lose 3 drive bays doing that, leaving you with 2.
