Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I have problems with RAM on this board too, G-Skill F3-12800CL7. I think I mentioned it a few pages ago or possibly in another thread. If I have the RAM set to anything but auto in the BIOS flash video is pretty much certainly gonna cause a crash/hard lock, clicking full screen is pretty much a...
I've had the Sapphire 6870 for 6 days and no heat problems, don't forget to enable ATi Overdrive to enable manual fan control, even though you aren't changing clock speeds. When on 100% it's insanely loud.
A problem I've been having is that my windows cursor is very pale since installing the...
Anyone else with this board got an "other device" left over in the device manager? I've installed the chipset and all other drivers from Gigabyte's product page but it's still there and windows update finds no drivers for it.
It's listed as:
PCI Simple Communications Controller

Got my GA-H55N-USB3 today and hoped to continue using my Xigmatek Cobra, only the backplate doesn't sit well thanks to how busy the back of the board is. I was just about to go around town hoping to find some nylon/foam washers and nuts with a 2.5mm thread when I decided to check my old zalman...
Couldn't find them anywhere here in the UK, so I ended up replacing all the included fans with some black and white ones. Xigmatek do some orange glow fans which would probably look good in this case.
I decided to go this route only with a CoolIT eco and push/pull on the radiator, i5 750...
I had to open a SNES a few years ago but didn't have the bit, so I melted the end of a biro and let it set over the screw, then you can just unscrew it.
This is a biro in case it's not a universal term...
On low it's pretty much silent but still pushes tonnes of air, on medium and high it produces a very low hum so it's not as annoying as smaller fans, I've never needed to use those settings though.
I had one, it cooled well and was pretty quiet, but after a few weeks the fan bacame noisy all of a sudden, not sure if that's a common problem though.
Nope, but if my DVD drive was any longer I would have since it's touching the fan, so if yours is too long you'll have to put it in one of the bottom bays.
Yep, pretty much any will fit providing you remove the bottom HDD rack. But you lose 3 drive bays doing that, leaving you with 2.
Gigabyte GA-G31M-S2L(Went with the cheapest I could find since ill just be selling it on soon when Nehalem arrives)
Core2Duo E8200 @ 3.2Ghz
2GB 6400 OCZ
HD4850 with the Thermalright HR-03 GT cooler
And I'm not sure about the CNPS9700, this is the one I had and there are some detailed...
I was in the same boat a few days ago since the Zalman sink I had was touching the rear fan, which I wasn't happy with. I was considering the Mini Ninja too, but ended up getting the Thermalright Ultra-90 since it was on sale, didn't need to install a fan on it since the fan on my gpu sink...
