    2 separate exposures...one exposed for the sky, and the other one for the water, then blended in PS. Thats pretty much how it looked to the naked eye...the camera however couldn't catch the whole range of the scene in one pic.

    It's neither, it's the product of using a so-so lens. Slap an L lens on that beast and the 20D blows away anything the 717 can do..

    Your lens has severe fringing issues. Which lens are you using? Is it the kit lens?

    I've been having this exact same issue. The only difference is my card is a BFG 6800 GT OC. I've tried going back down to stock speeds for my CPU and I still get crashing. This is my second card, I exchanged the first one. Have you figured out what's wrong yet?
