    as long as they have the same standards (DOCSIS1.1) then they are basically all the same.. some have features like a 100meg lan connection as opposed to a 10, or a speaker like my friends has. it all goes up to reliablity, of which, motorola is on top

    my freind has a 3com homeconnect model and it has a built in speaker in it, and it chimes when ever it has an error, gets a signal and initializes, and you can even upload sounds to the modem and play them instead. he had the intel theme on it for a while. sweet modem, sadly, 3com discontinued...
