Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
I have used this site to shut down most of the processes in XP. I have found that you don't need most of the services and still run just fine and faster too.
The reason I ask is that the laptop my school gave me, HP nc6000, has a 1.6 ghz Pentium M. I checked the computer properties and it stated it was a Pentium M 1600 mhz, but underneath that it said 797 mhz. This gave me a bit of a shock so I ran cpu-z. When I ran it it said 1597 mhz and then...

I tried the driver cleaner and reinstalled the Catalyst 4.7's and what do you know everything works fine!
I just want to thank everyone that helped me out, especially Nazo.
The following was listed under the Radeon 9800 Pro properties:

I download the Catalyst 4.7 drivers beening that I haven't updated for awhile. When I re-booted I noticed that the window would refresh/redraw from the top and slowly work its way down. I re-booted to see if that helped and again the same problem. I hit the forums and saw Catalyst 4.9 betas...
I myself have tried Mandrake, Red Hat, Slackware, and I'm in hour 2 of installing Gentoo. I really liked Slackware, but I kept hearing about Gentoo so I figured I'd give it a try.
