Some users have recently had their accounts hijacked. It seems that the now defunct EVGA forums might have compromised your password there and seems many are using the same PW here. We would suggest you UPDATE YOUR PASSWORD and TURN ON 2FA for your account here to further secure it. None of the compromised accounts had 2FA turned on.
Once you have enabled 2FA, your account will be updated soon to show a badge, letting other members know that you use 2FA to protect your account. This should be beneficial for everyone that uses FSFT.
Reviving this thread to report that I am seeing image retention since a few months ago.

It's noticeable on...

I can happily report that the 3 feet AmazonBasics cable seems to have solved the issue, maybe a bit too early to celebrate but so far after a few restarts the monitor showed picture every time.
So maybe it is pin 20 on those non compliant cables creating issues. This cable is cheap and good...
Palit GTX 1070 JetStream, but the thing is that I experienced the same issue when I had a AMD card and I experienced the issue on all 4K monitors that I owned and that's 3 of them including this one. I have had different PCs during these years, with Z87 and Z107 chipset so it's also not anything...
OMG, the solution solution is found and it's so simple, just setting DDC/CI to OFF. I had it in front of me all these years,.
Maybe this also solves the windows resizing problem in Windows when monitor is turned off and back on.
Edit: Forget what I wrote, it doesn't work. After...
I have had a issue with all 4K monitors that I owned and it's driving me a bit nuts so I wanted to see if somebody has a solution.
When I cold boot the PC the monitor shows picture during POST so I can enter the BIOS or see the boot menu.
But 99% of the time when I restart PC the monitor does...
He want's to use it as a "retina display" to get sharp nice looking text and he thinks that 24" inch is the best choice since 1080p displays are usually that size.
Why not just go for 32", text will not look much less sharp then on a 24" at 200% scaling, and you get the choice of using 150%...
Don't be silly. He can use 4K res with scaling on the desktop and have whatever resolution he wants in game if the game does not run smooth at 4K.
Scaling makes the text large so he shall be able to see it even at distance. There is no reason at all to use 1080p for the desktop unless he has a...
I only had it connected to the PC for 5 hours and during that time I did not notice any screen stutter. Didn't try 1080p @ 120Hz but I am also not sure what "faint transient background streaks" is, can you show some example? Gonna test CSGO next week at 120Hz and I will report if I notice any...
No no, this one is IPS, I would have noticed if it was VA.
So far I am happy with it but I currently use it to watch TV cuz the picture quality is much better then my old TV, but I will maybe connect it to the PC again next week.
I hope I don't start seeing any blobs on the screen.
I bought a Sony KD-43XD8305, which is a EU only model and successor to last years Sony X830C US model.
